Modeling a Composite
Application
In the IT process Modeling a Composite Application, you initiate a new composite application. You develop the appropriate semantics for a business process and you also provide its process flow and data model.
This IT process is part of the following IT scenario:
IT Scenario |
Scenario Variants |
...
1. Model process flow (ARIS for SAP NetWeaver).
You develop the semantics for a business process that caters to the logic and to solving the problem at hand.
This is an optional process step.
2. Model or reuse blocks, actions, callable objects (EP)
You model the process flow of the business process. This also includes creating phases and steps.
You also model new or reuse existing blocks, actions and callable objects, which are the components that build a process in Guided Procedures.
3. Design data model (DI)
You develop a data model that technically supports the business process.
4. Model portal / workcenter navigation (EP)
You model the portal navigation so that users can access the composite application from their workcenters.
You have created a process flow and a data model. However, certain elements are still missing – such as services. You can now develop a composite application in the next process step.
