Adapting a Composite Application 

Purpose

In the IT process Adapting a Composite Application, you again change your existing composite application. You can modify the process flow and data model of the application, and adapt its elements accordingly.

Process Flow

       1.      Change process flow, blocks, actions, callable objects (EP)

You adapt the existing business process or design a new one. You also make changes to the process flow, blocks, actions, and callable objects.

       2.      Modify / extend data model, external services, and business logic (DI)

You modify or enhance the persistence and service layer of the composite application – that is, the data model, the external services, and the business logic.

       3.      Modify / extend WD component (DI)

You modify or enhance the user interfaces implemented using the Web Dynpro technology.

       4.      Adapt portal / work center (EP)

You integrate the changes in the portal by adapting the work center navigation.

Result

You have adapted your composite application to the changed requirements.
