Use

The following Variables are available in the planning area CP: Sales and Promotions Plan/Actual (4TPM8000) for defining periods:

Plan Year (PLANYEAR)

The variable Planyear (PLANYEAR) determines the plan year. It is of the type fixed value and defined for the characteristic Fiscal Year (0FISCYEAR). You maintain the fixed value manually.

Current Fiscal Year Period (FISCP01)

In forecast models, the variable Current Fiscal Year Period (FISCP01) serves as a starting point for the definition of reference and forecast periods. The variable of type User Exit is defined for the characteristic Fiscal Year/Period (0FISCPER). The source function module UPRY_ACT_FISCPER determines the characteristic value to be used when you call the characteristic Fiscal Year/Period.

Note

Bear in mind that this variable only produces useful results when you use a fiscal year variant that depends on the calendar year (for example, K4). This also applies for the variables FISCP02, FISCP03, FISCP04, FISCBP01 and FISCBP02.

Forecast: Number of Reference Periods(TPREFIN)

The variable Forecast: Number of Reference Periods (TPREFIN) defines the number of reference periods that should be taken into account in the forecast. The variable has the predefined fixed value 24. You can change this manually.

Forecast: Reference Fiscal Year Period (FISCP02)

The variable Forecast: Reference Fiscal year Period (FISCP02) determines which reference periods should be used for the forecast. Starting from the current fiscal year period, which is determined using the variable FISCP01, the system determines and uses those reference periods whose number is defined in the variable TPREFIN. Special periods are not taken into account.

Example

Assuming that the variable FISCP01 determines 01.2004 as the current fiscal year period and that the value 24 is defaulted in the variable TPREFIN, the system uses the reference period 01.2002 to 12.2003 as the reference period.

The variable of type User Exit is defined for the characteristic Fiscal Year/Period (0FISCPER). The source function module UPRY_REF_FISCPER determines the characteristic value to be used when you call the characteristic Fiscal Year/Period.

Forecast: Number of Prediction Periods(TPPREDIN)

The variable Forecast: Number of Prediction Periods (TPPREDIN) defines the number of reference periods that should be taken into account in the forecast. The variable has the predefined fixed value 15. You can change this manually.

Forecast: Prediction Fiscal Year Periods (FISCP03)

The variable Forecast: Prediction Fiscal Year Periods (FISCP03) defines the forecast period. The variable of type User Exit is defined for the characteristic Fiscal Year/Period (0FISCPER). The variables are based on the function module UPX_PRED_FISCPER. Starting from the current system date (YTPSYFIS), the system determines the periods for the forecast whose number is defined in the variable TPPREDIN when you call the characteristic Fiscal Year/Period. Special periods are not taken into account.

Example

Assuming that the system determines 01.01.2004 as the current system date and that the value 15 is defaulted in the variable TPREDIN, the forecast is created for the periods 02.2004 to 04.2005.

Current Posting Period (FISCBP01)

Starting from the current system date, the variable FISCBP01 determines the current posting period.  The variable of type User Exit is defined for the characteristic Posting Period (0FISCPER3). The source function module UPRY_ACT_FISCPER3 determines the characteristic value to be used when you call the characteristic Posting Period.

Remaining Posting Periods (FISCBP02)

The variable Remaining Posting Periods (FISCBP02) is used in rolling planning for the assignment and for the conversion between sales and sales revenue. The variable of type Fixed Value is defined for the characteristic Posting Period (0FISCPER3).

Last Fiscal Year Periods (FISCP04)

The variable Last Fiscal Year Periods (FISCP04) is used for the copy of actual data (see also Planning Level: Transfer Actual Data) The variable of type User Exit is defined for the characteristic Fiscal Year/Period (0FISCPER). Starting from the current system date, the source function module UPRY_LASTACT_FISCPER determines the last fiscal year period when you call the characteristic Fiscal Year/Period.

Example

The current system date is 01.01.2004. In this case, the variable returns the value for December 2003 and for the special periods from 2003.
