Transferring Plan Data from
Controlling
You can copy plan data to the General Ledger from the following application components in Controlling (CO):
· Cost Center Accounting (CO-OM)
· Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)

You should only transfer the data in online mode if no other users are performing postings at the same time. In all other cases, you should only transfer data from posting periods that are already closed.
To be able to transfer CO plan data to a parallel ledger in General Ledger Accounting, you need to have made the following settings in Customizing:

1. Check Plan Version in Controlling
a. You need to have created a plan version in General Ledger Accounting for the ledger into which you want to transfer the plan data. This plan version must have the same name as the CO plan version.
b. You need to have activated the plan integration for the CO plan version.
To view the names of the CO plan versions and to activate the plan integration, choose the following activities in Customizing for Controlling:
§ For Cost Center Accounting (CO-OM):
Cost Center Accounting ® Planning ® Basic Settings for Planning ® Define Versions
§ For Profitability Analysis (CO-PA):
Profitability Analysis ® Planning ® Initial Steps ® Maintain Versions
In each case, check the names of the plan versions and check whether the Integ.plan indicator is set.
2. Create Plan Version in General Ledger Accounting
a. For the ledgers to which you want to transfer plan data, you have created in the General Ledger a plan version sharing the same name as that in Controlling.
To create a plan version for your ledger, choose in Customizing for Financial Accounting (New) General Ledger Accounting (New) ® Planning ® Plan Versions ® Define Plan Versions.

If you try to transfer CO plan data to a plan version that that does not have the same name as the plan version of the ledger, the data transfer is terminated. The system does not issue an error message.
b. You have activated the plan integration for the plan version in General Ledger Accounting. Furthermore, you have set the Integ.plan indicator in the IMG activity Define Plan Versions.
3. Check Other Settings for the Plan Version in the General Ledger
a. The plan version of the ledger must be opened for postings. To make sure that the plan version is not blocked, in Customizing for General Ledger Accounting (New), choose Planning ® Plan Version ® Fiscal-Year Dependent Version Parameters Assign ® Plan Version to Fiscal Year and Activate. If required, deactivate the Locked indicator.
b. If you want to transfer line items when you transfer plan data, you need to have activated the line items for the plan version. For this, choose in Customizing for General Ledger Accounting (New) Planning ® Plan Versions ® Fiscal-Year Dependent Version Parameters ®Activate Line Items for Planning.
4. Settings for the Ledger in General Ledger Accounting
For non-leading ledgers to which you want to transfer plan data, the company codes for which the data transfer is to occur must be assigned.
In Customizing for Financial Accounting (New), choose Financial Accounting Global Settings (New) ® Ledgers ® Ledgers ® Define and Activate Non-Leading Ledgers.
You need to have assigned to the ledger each company code to which you want to transfer plan data.
You can transfer plan data at document level. When you do so, you can check whether plan data has already been transferred to the ledger via a posting.
