Definition

Infotype you use to flag a course group as a subject area.

Use

When you flag course groups as subject areas in this infotype, these course groups are displayed on the top level of the course catalog in the Learning Portal. In the Learning Portal, course groups are called subject areas.

You can access these course groups directly in the navigation area of the Learning Portal and you can use them as criteria to restrict the enhanced search.

If you do not flag any course groups as subject areas, the course groups that are displayed on the highest level of the catalog for Training Management (whether related with a root course group or unrelated) are also displayed on the highest level of the course catalog level the Learning Portal.

Structure

In this infotype, you can only select the option Subject Area. In the standard system, the option is not selected.

Integration

You can maintain this infotype when you create or change a course group.
