Use

In Customizing, you specify which correspondence you want to use in SAP Learning Solution. Choose SAP Learming Solution ® Training Management ® Day-to-Day Activities ® Correspondence ® Set Up Correspondence. SAP provides the following correspondence options:

·        Request-based correspondence

If the value of the HRLSO CRPSP switch is X, you use request- and role-based correspondence in SAP Learning Solution. The following options are available for correspondence requests:

¡        Create

¡        Change

Change output medium or recipient

¡        Output

·        SAPscript-based correspondence

If the value of the HRLSO CRPSP switch is blank, you use SAPscript-based correspondence, which was taken over from Training and Event Management and adapted for use in SAP Learning Solution. Functions for correspondence include:

¡        Create

¡        Output

This is the setting in the standard SAP system.

Dependencies

Note that request-based correspondence in SAP Learning Solution is a new function, based on a different data model and a different data basis from SAPscript-based correspondence in Training and Event Management.

SAP does not support data exchange between the two solutions. This means that you cannot transfer legacy data to request-based correspondence of SAP Learning Solution, nor can you use the data of request-based correspondence of SAP Learning Solution in the transactions or processes of SAPscript-based correspondence of SAP Learning Solution.

If you have activated request-based correspondence in Customizing by setting the HRLSO CRPSPswitch (request-based correspondence on/off) to X, please note that a later return to using SAPscript-based correspondence would mean a loss of data created in request-based correspondence.

Request-based correspondence and SAPscript-based correspondence are completely separate applications of SAP Learning Solution. This means:

·        They share no Customizing.

·        They have no forms in common.

·        They have two separate logs for correspondence that was output successfully or with errors. This is logged in the correspondence history in SAPscript-based correspondence and in the output log and worklist in request-based correspondence.

·        SAP does not support a conversion or migration of application data.
