Change Sequence of Process Steps 

Prerequisites

You are editing a process model and have accessed the Maintain Process Model <name> screen.

Procedure

You have the following options:

Cutting and Inserting a Process Step

...

       1.      Select the process step you want to insert somewhere else.

       2.      Choose Edit ® Nodes ® Remove to Buffer.

       3.      Choose Edit ® Nodes ® Insert Buffer.

The process step is displayed separately in the display area. You can reinsert it.

Linking a Process Step to a Preceding Object

...

       1.      Choose Connect.

       2.      Use the cursor to draw a line from the new preceding object to the process step you want to move.

The process step and its subsequent objects are now subordinate to the new preceding object.

Result

You have changed the sequence of process steps in the process model. However, the numbers assigned to each process step remain in their original sequence. If you execute a process on the basis of this process model, the process steps are displayed in this order in the HR Process Workbench. If you want to adjust the process step numbers to their new sequence in the process model, choose Process Model ® Reassign Numbers.

To check the number of a process step, display its characteristics by double-clicking on it. The number is included in the title of the dialog box that is now displayed.
