(0543)
This infotype contains an employee’s social insurance status information for the different categories of social insurance: medical insurance, national pension and employment insurance which are stored in subtypes. The subtypes require similar information and have a similar structure.
When you maintain this infotype, you need to choose the Social insurance entitlement reason , which describes an event that led to an employee defining or changing his or her eligibility or non-eligibility for the different social insurance type.

Normally, most events that affect the employee’s insurance status have been predefined as code values. However, you can create new ones to meet your own requirements by performing the Customizing activities under Social Insurance ® Insured.
Corresponding to social insurance Entitlement reason, Social insurance status indicates not only employees’ eligibility or non-eligibility for a particular insurance type but also the premium payment status for the employee, such as exempted or reduced.

When an employee is going abroad with family, his or her social insurance status changes to Exempted.
Also corresponding to the entitlement reason, SI reporting status is used by the social insurance clerk to print the social insurance related reports, such as acquired, lost and changed reports that need to be submitted to the relevant social insurance association.
When you choose the subtype Medical insurance , you need to enter employees‘ medical insurance card number.
