Features

The AFS ATP check determines whether AFS materials are available in the selected plant and whether a complete or a partial delivery is possible on the customer's requested delivery date. The AFS availability check is based on the availability check of the R/3 standard and has been enhanced to meet the needs of the apparel and footwear industry (for instance, for requirements at grid value and category levels.)

Note

There is a slight difference in behavior between standard SAP R/3 and AFS ATP if the Replenishment Lead Time switch is turned off in Customizing for ATP.

·         In AFS: The system uses only the available physical stock for confirming requirements. All excess requirements are rejected with rejection code J0. There will be no requirements for the rejected quantities.

·         In standard: The system uses the available physical stock for confirming the requirements at the availability date. Excess requirements remain as open requirements for MRP to procure so that they can be confirmed after a future MRP run. There is no rejection code in standard ATP.

The screens in the sales order creation have been adjusted to the requirements of the apparel and footwear industry. For example, a special ATP order entry screen and a special overview screen are provided (see also Availability Check: Sales Order Creation).

In addition to the sales-specific control features of the ATP check in the Standard (for example ATP check per schedule line category, determination of the scope of check, inclusion of the replenishment lead time), you can store additional AFS-specific control parameters for AFS materials (see also Availability Check: Control Parameters).
