Process documentation Source Allocation in the Background – With Rescheduling Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Purpose

If you would like to execute the source allocation and reschedule purchase requisitions that have not been assigned, you can base each source allocation run on one of the following logics:

Note

The capacity consumption point is crucial for the allocation of open purchase requisitions to capacity periods. The capacity consumption point is calculated by subtracting the sum of the packing time, transportation time, and capacity offset lead time from the delivery date.

Process Flow

The source allocation with scheduling logic I or II requires the following settings (Logistics ® Materials Management ® Source Allocation ® With Source Allocation Scheduling Logic I or II) :

Note

If purchase requisitions are to be rescheduled, the system determines a new release date and a new delivery date. Purchase requisitions can only be scheduled backwards if the newly calculated release date is greater than the current date.

An explanatory example of scheduling logics I and II shows how purchase requisitions are assigned to free capacity periods depending on which scheduling logic you choose.
