In ATC central quality checking, a satellite development system is the source of ABAP code and other repository objects that are checked on the ATC master system.

ATC findings from the master system are replicated to the satellite development system. Developers can then view the findings and correct any problems right at their own development systems. If exemptions are needed, these are propagated to the master system for approval.

Developers can also run their own local ATC checks right from the development transactions (SE80, SE24, SE38...).
