Monitoring of Destocking The supersession service monitors whether the stock of the predecessor product(s) will run out earlier than planned. This is the case if the current stock exhaustion date comes before the stock exhaustion warning date .
If the
successor product planning date
has been reached and the system has determined the stock exhaustion warning date, the system calculates the current stock exhaustion date for each entry location. The system calculates the current stock exhaustion date in the same way as it calculates the planned stock exhaustion date. If increasing demand leads to the stock exhaustion date coming before the stock exhaustion warning date, the system creates the alert 7855
Stock Exhaustion Before Warning Date
. The system only performs this check if the stock exhaustion warning date has not been reached.
For one-to-one substitution with partial substitution or one-to-zero substitution, the system does not monitor destocking.
