Integration of Pegging The system can generate dynamic pegging relationships for each BOM level of an order structure starting from the end product.
The use of dynamic pegging enables you to use the following functions:
Calculation of pegging quantities
Here the system determines whether a requirement can be covered by existing receipts. However, the system cannot permanently store the calculated pegging quantities.
Calculation of earliness/delay of receipts and determination of over- and undercoverage situations.
These calculated values constitute the basis for the determination of alerts and the use of the optimization functionality.
The system automatically creates dynamic pegging relationships between the aggregated component requirements determined by the matrix and existing receipts.
It is not possible to create fixed pegging relationships for the aggregated component requirements. The corresponding function keys in the pegging overview and in the context are therefore hidden.
You can display the pegging relationships generated by the system on the
Pegging Overview
tab page in the product view.
You can invoke the
context of an order
in order to display the
pegging structure
.
You can display the
context
for an order from top to bottom only. It is not possible to display the
context
from top to bottome (i.e. starting from a component) if a pegging relationship ends in an aggregated component requirement. In this case, the pegging structure ends with this anonymous component requirement. When you display the pegging structure for the RPM product, the system displays the bill of material (BOM) for the order.
