Alerts The system generates alerts for RPM products and their components in the following cases:
If the system discovers an over- or undercoverage situation on the basis of the pegging relationships between receipt elements and requirements, it can issue a corresponding quantity alert.
If the system detects a situation of earliness or delay with regard to the assigned receipt element, it can issue a date/time alert.
You are using dynamic pegging.
You have created a PP/DS alert profile. It makes sense to use the following alert types:
Requirement/receipt alerts
Order alerts – product-dependent
Days’ supply alerts

You can display alerts for RPM products and for the components in the following applications:
Alert Monitor
In the Alert Monitor, you can display the alerts that the system has generated due to quantity variances or earliness/delay situations involving receipt elements. If aggregated component requirements are involved, the system cannot display the causal (pegged) planned order for the RMP product.
Product View
In the product view of the RPM product, you can display the alerts that the system has generated due to missing components.
In the product view of a component, you can display the alerts that the system has generated due to missing or delayed receipt elements.
Caution
Due to the aggregation of the requirements that the matrix has determined, it may happen that the system has assigned alerts to an aggregated requirement but not to the order that caused the requirement and vice-versa.
