 Maintaining Settings for Collaborative Partners

Use

The procedure for maintaining the settings for collaboration partners encompasses the following:

  • Determining the collaboration partner/s

  • Defining the communication settings for each collaboration scenario

  • Assigning user names to collaboration partners.

  • Assigning user authorization(s) for workflow and transportation requests

Procedure

  1. From the SAP Easy Access menu, choose Start of the navigation path Supply Chain Collaboration Next navigation step Environment Next navigation step Current Settings Next navigation step Collaboration Partners. End of the navigation path

  2. Maintain the current settings for Collaborative Planning as described in the table below:

    Define partners

    1. On the maintenance screen for collaboration partner settings, choose the New Entries button. Result : You access the New Entries maintenance screen.

    2. Enter the name and description of the partners who will participate in the collaboration.

    3. You can create an address for the partner (see also: Maintaining Addresses ) and can change this at any time on this screen.

    4. Choose Save.

    Result: The name of the collaborative partner appears in the list.

    Define communication settings

    1. In the Collaboration Partners view, select the name of the partner you want to involve in the collaboration.

    2. Double-click the Communication Settings node in the overview on the left-hand side.

    3. Choose New Entries function button.

    4. Choose a collaboration scenario. For more notes on the scenarios themselves and the settings you need to make, see Setting Up Collaboration Scenarios .

    5. Choose Save .

      Result: The communication settings for the collaboration partner have been defined.

    Assign users to collaboration partners and define type of planning

    1. Double-click the User Assignments node in the overview on the left-hand side.

    2. Choose the pushbutton New Entries screen, and maintain the following settings:

      • Choose the name of the user from the Possible Entries

      • Choose the collaboration partner from the Possible Entries

      • Check each planning activity (Transportation RFQs, workflow) the user is authorized to perform

    Result: The user has been assigned to the collaboration partner.
