Defining Selection Conditions for Resource Planning Table You invoke the resource planning table via a selection screen on which you specify the selection conditions for the resources that are to be invoked in the table.
The system determines the resources for the resource planning table from the following data:
The overall profile is adopted from the user settings and displayed on the initial screen. Upon the first invocation of the resource planning table, the system adopts the overall profile SAP001. You can change this overall profile at any time.
In the user settings, you can specify whether the subprofiles are to be taken from the overall profile or whether you want to specify your own subprofiles (see Profiles for the Resource Planning Table ).
The resources created in the planning version are available for the resource planning table.
The system determines the period from the time profile you specify in the overall profile or user settings. For the current session, you can also directly specify a different time profile or change the dates of start/end of display or start/end of planning. However, you cannot save the changes.
You define the time profile in Customizing under
You create the work area in Customizing for Detailed Scheduling. There you create sets for resources, products, and/or orders that the work area contains.
Because only resources are displayed on the resource planning table, the system determines the associated resources and operations for the resource planning table in the case of products or orders.
You can specify the work area in the overall profile. It is then adopted from the overall profile and displayed on the initial screen of the resource planning table. If you have not specified a work area in the overall profile, specify the work area or the necessary sets of resources, products, or orders directly on the selection screen.
You can also change the settings from the work area on the initial screen.
You can temporarily change the data from the work area for the current invocation on the initial screen (e.g. change sets or add new sets).
You can make changes and save them.
And overwrite the existing work area
Note
If you change an existing work area and then save, the system performs a namespace check. This is because you are not allowed to change standard SAP work areas.
Or create a new work area by assigning a new name to the work area.
You can completeley delete the entry for the work area and the entries for the sets using the
Empty Work Area
function.
You can then specify new selection conditions for the products, resources, or orders, and thus temporarily start the resource planning table.
You can save the data for the selection conditions in a new work area. To do so, choose
Save Work Area Under….
With regard to the selection of the resources, you can specify that you only wish to choose bottleneck or finitely planned resources.
The filter indicators that you can set on the detailed scheduling planning board are not displayed and not taken into account in the resource planning table.
Starting from the
SAP Easy Access
mySAP
Supply Chain Management
screen, choose
The selection screen for the product planning table appears.
Make the necessary settings and check the
User Settings
.
Enter the work area.
The sets created in Customizing for the work area are adopted and displayed.
If you want to change a set, enter the new selection criteria that are to apply to the set on the corresponding tab page.
If you wish to add a new set, choose
Create New Set
and enter the selection criteria for the new set.
To delete a set, choose
Delete Current Set.
To reverse all changes, choose
Undo Changes.
To delete all data on the sets, choose
Empty Work Area
.
If you want to save changes, choose
Save Work Area Under…
.
A dialog box appears, in which you have to specify a work area, a user-specific work area ID, and a language-dependent description for the work area.
If you do not save the changes, they apply only temporarily for the current invocation of the resource planning table.
If you have created several sets for a work area, you can scroll between the individual sets using the arrow buttons at the bottom of the tab page.
If sets exist for objects, the system selects the tab page with a checkmark (tick)
.
Choose
Execute
to invoke the resource planning table.
You can extend the selection in the application itself and select further resources. To do so, choose
Extend Selection….
.
The system extends the selection criteria you specified on the initial screen by the additional data. When you create a simulation version, the system uses all the sets that exist at the time of saving (see Editing the Simulation Version ).
Note
The
Extend Selection…
function is not available for orders.
