Function documentationPersonal Object Worklist (POWL) for Customer Forecast Management

 

You can use this function to view customer forecast data grouped according to alerts generated during the forecast analysis run and to make the necessary adjustments to the data, creating adjusted customer forecasts.

Prerequisites

  • You have made the required customizing settings for Customer Forecast Management. For more information, see Customizing for Demand Planning under Start of the navigation path Customer Forecast Management Next navigation step Define Profiles and Settings for Customer Forecast Management End of the navigation path.

  • You have performed a forecast analysis run on customer forecasts. For more information, see Forecast Analysis Run.

Features

  • You can display forecast data in a worklist by running a query.

  • You can choose to display all forecasts at the same time, or only those that produced certain alerts during the forecast analysis run. You can also filter the forecasts to be displayed by specifying criteria such as location, product or product group and key figure comparison (for the alert type Tolerance Exceeded). You can change predefined queries or create new ones, and you can also personalize the table for displaying the results of the query.

  • You can view the detailed results of the forecast analysis run on the details screen, which you can access from the Customer Forecast Management overview screen. The details screen lists key figure comparisons according to the sequence number set for each key figure comparison in Customizing.

  • If forecast quantities need to be adjusted, you enter the new figures in the Adjusted Customer Forecast (Current) row of the table. You can also use this row for a manual input of original customer forecast data.

  • You can print the contents of the worklist or export it into a Microsoft Excel file from either the overview or the details screen.

  • After you have released the forecast data from Customer Forecast Management by approving it on either the overview or the details screen, the system deletes all the relevant forecasts from the worklist.
