Display Forecast Results
You can display and modify the forecast results on the Interactive Forecasting
screen.
Note
You can display historical forecasts on the Historical Forecasts
screen.
You can display the results of phase-in planning on the Phase-In Forecasting
screen and the results of phase-out planning on the Phase-Out Forecasting
screen.
On the Interactive Forecasting
screen, the system displays the forecast results at location product level for the location product that you specified in the Selection
area. In the BoD
area, the system shows the complete bill of distribution (BOD) of the selected product. If future BODs exist for a product, you can select which BOD you want the system to display in the BoD
field in the Selection
area.
If you are using leading indicator-based forecasting, the system also displays the forecast results for the leading indicator and the coefficient that you have assigned to the selected location product.
In Customizing for Service Parts Planning (SPP), you can define specific key figure views for each user. The user can then select one of the key figure views assigned to him or her in the View
field. For more information about specific key figure views, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Advanced Planning and Optimization
under .
If you implement the Business Add-In (BAdI) BAdI: Include Additional Key Figures for Forecasting
(/SAPAPO/SPPFCST_KF
), you can define your own key figures. However, these can be displayed only. For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Advanced Planning and Optimization
under .
The system displays the different results of the forecast calculation as key figures. For more information about individual key figures, see Key Figures in Forecasting.
In the Forecast
area, you have different functions that you can use to edit the forecast results.
Note
If you are using leading-indicator-based forecasting, you can use these functions for the location product forecast as well as for the forecast of the leading indicator and the coefficient.
You can use the Forecast
pushbutton to perform forecasting for a location product. However, the system only saves the results of the forecast if you choose the Save
pushbutton. This means that you can, for example, change forecast profile parameters and simulate forecasts.
If you choose Change
, you can specify your own values in the Manual Forecast
key figure and make changes to the forecast profile. You are then also able to choose other pushbuttons, such as Model Selection
and Fine Tuning
.
Note
If you want to change the final forecast for all periods, you can define a formula in the BAdI BAdI: Change Final Forecast
(/SAPAPO/FCST_APPR_CHG_FCST
) that the system applies to all values in the final forecast and changes these values accordingly.
If you choose Save
, the system saves both the displayed forecast results and the current forecast profile. It also performs the following functions:
Calculate the standard deviation and the mean absolute deviation (MAD)
Disaggregate the forecast results
Approve the forecast results
If you choose Save Profile
, the system only saves the current forecast profile, but not the forecast results.
If you choose Reset
with the quick info text, the system resets the forecast results and the forecast profile to the status that they had when you last saved.
If you select a key figure and choose Chart
with the quick info text, you can see the key figure as a chart.
If you choose Pivot Table
with the quick info text, you can swap the x-axis and the y-axis of the key figure view.
If you select Distribute On
with the quick info text, you can change the forecast results of the Demand: Manual Forecast
or Item: Manual Forecast
key figures for any time period according to your entries in the following fields:
Start Date
and End Date
Key Figure
Operator
and Value
If you choose the Fine-Tuning
pushbutton, you can fine tune smoothing factors for locations products for which you use a forecast model that has smoothing factors.
If you choose the Model Selection
pushbutton, you can perform automatic model selection for a location product.
From the Interactive Forecasting
screen, you can go directly to the screens for follow-on processes that use the forecast results for their planning.
If you choose Forecast Approval
with the quick info text, you go directly to forecast approval.
If you choose DRP Matrix
with the quick info text, you go directly to the DRP matrix.
If you choose Inventory Planning
with the quick info text, you go directly to inventory planning.
You can also create a forecast for multiple locations, that is, for the entire BOD. To do activate this function, you need to select Enable Forecast BOD
in Customizing for Service Parts Planning under .
When you activate this function, the behavior of the pushbuttons changes as follows:
Pushbutton | Forecast BOD Function Not Activated | Forecast BOD Function Activated | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
