Printing Disposal Documents

Use

This procedure describes how you print a disposal document.

Prerequisites

You have made the necessary settings in Customizing for Waste Management and Customizing for Product Safety. For more information about these settings, see, for example, the following IMG activities in Customizing for Waste Management:

Specify Disposal Document Types

In this IMG activity, you must, among other things, specify a function module that determines and formats data for the print output.

You have created the disposal document with all the required data.

The disposal document has a status that you specified as a permitted previous status of the status PRN (Printed) in the IMG activity Specify Processing Status for Disposal Documents in Customizing for Waste Management. In the standard system, these are the statuses NEW (Created) and PRF (Printing failed).

Note

You can use the print preview function ( This graphic is explained in the accompanying text ) for disposal documents in all statuses.

Procedure

In the Waste Management menu, choose one of the following paths:

Disposal documents ® Display

Disposal documents ® Change

The Display Disposal Documents or Change Disposal Documents screen appears.

In the overview tree, double-click the disposal document that you want to print. If you cannot find the disposal document in the overview tree, you can search for it as described under Searching for Disposal Documents.

The Report Information System: Report Tree screen appears.

Note

If the disposal document does not contain all the required data or if an error occurred while the data was being formatted, the Error while formatting data dialog box appears. From this dialog box, you can display the error log and decide whether the disposal document should be printed despite the errors.

Note

If you want to display the disposal document before printing it, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text in front of the disposal document in the report tree. In order for the disposal document to be displayed, you must have installed Windows Wordprocessor Integration (WWI).

Position the cursor on the disposal document that you want to print and choose Report ® Print.

Result

If you have specified number ranges for the disposal document type in the IntNoRng.trnsreg.no. and Int.no.range reg.no. fields in the IMG activity Specify Disposal Document Types in Customizing for Waste Management, the disposal document is assigned a transregional or regional authority-assigned number before it is printed. If you have also specified the corresponding prefixes in this IMG activity, the system adds the prefixes specified to the authority-assigned numbers.

If you have set the Print auth.-asgd no. and Print outgoing qty indicators in this IMG activity, the authority-assigned numbers of the disposal document and the outgoing quantity are also output when the disposal document is printed. If you have not set the Print outgoing qty indicator, the system outputs a record for the standard disposal document types BGS (Begleitschein) and BG2 (Begleitschein 2) via which the disposer is requested to enter the quantity disposed of.

The key of a disposal document is output in the remarks field for all standard disposal document types.

After it has been printed, the disposal document is assigned the status PRN (Printed).

Note

A disposal document with the status PRN cannot be printed again. If you want to print the disposal document again, you must first set a status that allows you to print the document again (see Prerequisites).
