Use

You assign jobs to positions so that the position inherits the characteristics of the job.

Note

You can also assign a job to a task. For more information, see Assigning Tasks.

Prerequisites

You are familiar with Validity. Select a key date and preview period.

You have selected the staff assignments which include the position to which you want to assign the job. For more information, see Displaying Objects.

Procedure

  1. Find a job that already exists. For more information, see Finding Objects.
  2. The job is displayed in the selection area.

  3. Select this job in the selection area.
  4. Holding down the left mouse button, drag the job to the Job column of the position in the Staff assignments (List).
  5. The job is assigned. To see the validity of the assignment, see Activating/Deactivating Query Time Period.

    Note

    You can also assign a position to a job by entering the job on the Basic Data tab page for the position. For more information, see Basic Data (Position).

  6. Save your entries by choosing This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

Note

Result
