Prerequisite

To access the Change standard hierarchy for commitment items screen, choose Accounting ® Financial Accounting ® Public Sector Management ® Funds Management ® Master Data ® Commitment Item ® Hierarchy ® Change Standard Hierarchy.

Changing the commitment item hierarchy

  1. Enter the required data and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

    2. If you enter a commitment item as the initial object, a view of the corresponding subhierarchy will be displayed.

  2. Select the commitment item or subtree you want to move by positioning the cursor accordingly and choosing This graphic is explained in the accompanying textSubtree.
  3. Place the cursor in the target position and make the hierarchical assignment by selecting This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Same level or This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Level below.
  4. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

Creating new commitment items in the commitment item hierarchy

  1. Place the cursor on the subhierarchy or commitment item under which you want to create new commitment items and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

If you want to create a top position, you do not need to position the cursor.

The Create Nodes screen appears and a tree structure is displayed with entry fields within the chosen subhierarchy and also for top items.
  1. Enter the key for the new commitment item and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying textCreate.
  2. The master record for the first new commitment item appears and you can enter additional master record data.

If you want to create more than one new commitment item, you can choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text to go to the next master record.
  1. Once you have entered all the master record data, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text to return to the Change Commitment Item Standard Hierarchy screen.
  1. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text to save the new commitment items.
