When it is not possible to repeat an update, you have to enter the update data manually. This section describes how you find out the name of the user who generated the update, the time when the record was created, and the transaction used.

    1. Choose Tools ® Administration ® Monitor ® Update. Alternatively, enter transaction code sm13.
    2. Display the canceled updates (see Selecting and Displaying Updates). The list shows the users who created the update along with the relevant date/time stamp.
    3. Display the transaction code. To do this, view the update header by choosing Goto ® Update header. Alternatively, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text . The transaction code is output in the field Transaction.
    1. To display the update modules of this update request, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Modules, or double-click on the update request.
    2. To view the update data, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text for each update module.
    3. In the dual column display, click on the individual rows in both columns to see the values located in the fields. The left column shows the internal program name of each screen field or of each program structure; the right column shows the corresponding program field or the corresponding structure.

You can now enter the data again. Once the data is entered, you have to delete the old update record (with the status Error). For more information, see Deleting Update Records.
