Use
To make the structure of a multiple-line basic list clearer, you want to generate a list showing the following information for each flight connection; the actual flights, the date, the price, and information about occupied and free seats.
Prerequisites
You have created query G1 as described in the section on
defining single-line basic lists, and created the G2 copy as described in the section on determining the sort sequence.Procedure
The Basic List Row Structure screen is displayed.
In this basic list, two different lines are defined. This means that the list is a two-line basic list.
When you have made your selections on the selection screen, the following list is displayed:
This list is still not adequate. You want a flight connection to be displayed only if there are flights during the selected period.
Since the flight connections (line 1) are only meant to be displayed in connection with the flights (line 2), you must type 2 for line 1 in the Ref. column.
Specifying a reference line in the Ref. column means that your list contains only those flight connections for which flights actually exist in the selected period.
The Page Header option is useful only if you are defining your query with a fixed page size or you want to print your query lists. This option allows you to repeat certain lines in every page header.
In the list for each flight connection (line 1) there are several flights (line 2). This means that if you are working with a fixed page size (which is always the case if you are going to print the list) one page may contain only lines with flights. However, if you select the Page Header column for line 1 (flight connection information), the line containing the flight connection is displayed on each new page. On each page you are therefore able to see to which flight connection the flights on each page belong.
