Use

A single-line basic list is the simplest display format that you can create using the SAP Query. The following example shows you how to define this type of list and tells you what special features to look out for.

Prerequisites

You are assigned to a user group, QD, for example.

Procedure

In our example, we want to generate a directory of flight connections. Proceed as follows:

  1. On the initial screen of the SAP Query, type in a name for the new list and choose the Create function. In this example, the query name is G1.
  2. The Hit List window containing the available InfoSets opens.

  3. Choose the DEMO_FLBOOKING (Flight Bookings) InfoSet and click on This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.
  4. You are taken to the Field Selection series of screens.

  5. Choose a title and a list format.
  6. Use the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text and This graphic is explained in the accompanying text functions to navigate through the series of screens and select the fields that you require.
  7. Since you want to generate a directory containing only flight connections, you need fields from the Flight Plan field group only.

On the Fields screen, select the following fields: Text: Carrier ID, flight connection code, city of departure, destination, departure time, arrival time.

  8. Choose the Basic List function.
