Defining Application Objects 
Prerequisites
You are editing a generation variant. See
Generation Variant Editing.
You have assigned a report template to the generation variant.
You can define
report applications other than the standard applications shipped with the system in the IMG activity Specify Report Applications in Customizing for Product Safety.
Procedure
In the generation variant header, short description, or hit list, choose Application objects.
The Edit Generation Variant: Application Objects screen appears.
In the Rep.applic (report application) column, the SAP System lists the report applications for which symbols have been created in the report template.
If you want to restrict the usability of the generation variant, you can enter the keys for the relevant objects in the Object key column.
- If you do not enter an object key, the generation variant applies for all objects in the report application.
- You can enter the same report application a number of times and assign a different object key to it each time.
- You can enter other report applications and the relevant object keys even if no symbols from these report applications are used in the report template.
- You can enter report applications that do not have their own symbols.
