Use

You can create and delete system groups, and add systems to and remove systems from existing system groups.

Note

The CCMS System Component Repository (SCR) automatically creates system groups that you can use as you wish, if the systems contained in the groups are monitored using the monitoring architecture (see Monitoring Multiple SAP R/3 Systems). A system group containing the corresponding systems of the SCR is created for every SAP Basis release in use and for every database system in use.

Procedure

To call the individual functions in the table, choose CCMS ® Configuration ® Alert Monitor, or call transaction RZ21. Choose Techn. Infrastructure ® Maintain System Groups, and expand the tree to display the groups that have already been defined.

Create new system group

Maintain Groups ® Create System Group

The new system group will have the icon This graphic is explained in the accompanying text at first. Only once the group contains systems will it have the folder icon (This graphic is explained in the accompanying text or This graphic is explained in the accompanying text).

Delete system group

Select system group, then choose Maintain Groups ® Delete System Group and confirm command

 

Add system to a system group

Select system group, then choose Maintain Systems ® Create System

Use the possible entries help to display the systems of which the monitoring architecture is aware.

Remove system from a system group

Expand system group and select system, then choose Maintain Systems ® Delete System and confirm the command

The system is only removed from the system group. It is not removed from the entries for remote systems.

Result

The entries that you have made are saved directly. You do not need to save the data before you leave the screen.
