Prerequisites

See the Prerequisites section under Report Import: Process.

Procedure

  1. In the Structure linkProduct Safety menu, choose Data transfer ® Reports.
  2. The Import reports dialog box appears.

  3. Select the user exit names with which you want to carry out the import. The user exit name EHS_DXSDB (import Dok-X material safety data sheets) is proposed as standard.
  4. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.
  5. The Import Reports: Parameters screen appears.

Note

Do not enter the name of the file but only the name of the directory. Place a directory separator at the end of the directory path, for example, /USR/EHS_DATA/INBOUND/. Which separator you use depends on the operating system of your application server.

  1. Choose Check directory to start pre-import.
  2. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text. Select the log for your transfer file, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (Goto ® Display messages) and check any error messages there.
  3. On the initial screen for report import, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

A dialog box appears in which you can set the start date. After you have saved your data, the SAP System starts the data transfer for the start date specified.

Note

To check the procedure, choose Data transfer ® Check transfer ® Reports in the Structure linkProduct Safety menu.

  1. On the initial screen for report import, choose Direct input to display the log for the database update.

Then choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text, select the log for your transfer file, and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Job log. The system generates a list of all messages for the background job.

Evaluate the messages and make the necessary corrections.
