Prerequisites

Note

The changes to the basic settings are saved in the WWI.INI file and are valid for all users in a central installation.

You can also change the settings offline by opening the WWI.DOT file in Word and choosing WWI ® Basic Settings.

Procedure

  1. Choose WWI ® Basic Settings.
  2. The WWI Settings dialog box appears.

  3. You can change the following settings:

Field

Language

Note

If the language of the WWI menu does not match the language displayed here, proceed as follows:

  1. Change the language to the language of the WWI menu and confirm with OK.
  2. This synchronizes the WWI.DOT file in which the menu texts are stored.

  3. Then open the WWI Settings dialog box again to choose the required language.

Display changes

Set this indicator if you want the system to highlight relevant changes to specification data on a generated report. This setting is effective on the generation server only.

Text color

Specifies the color for the revised text to be highlighted, for example, red.

Shade

Specifies the shading used for revised text to be highlighted, for example, 25%.

Frame-Left

Specify the type of frame used to mark revisions, for example, double.

Color settings

Color is meta information

Set this indicator if you want symbols, phrase symbols, markings for repeating groups, blank compression, conditioned text, and character sizing inserted by WWI functions to be highlighted in color in the report template. These color markings disappear when the report is expanded.

Then choose the colors for the various WWI elements or reset the color settings back to the default settings using the Standard pushbutton.

Do not set the indicator if the color of the WWI symbols should be retained after expansion, that is if the color should be passed on to the data values entered in each case.

– Global

– Document only

Specify whether the color settings are to apply to the current document or all documents.
