Prerequisites

Before combining phrases, you should generate a where-used list.

The phrases must belong to the active phrase library.

Procedure

  1. In the phrase management hit list, select the phrases that you want to combine.
  2. Choose Extras ® Combine.

    3. A dialog box appears in which the phrase keys and texts for the selected phrases are displayed. To display the long text, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

  3. Select the desired replacement phrase.
  4. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

Note 

Online combining of phrases used is not practical because it takes too long. From the dialog box, you can execute the function in the background and define the start time.

Result

The SAP System adopts the phrase selected as a replacement phrase, and transfers the remaining phrases to the backup library.
