Purpose

This component enables you to administrate the continuation of group health plan coverage in accordance with the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (COBRA). This act requires the vast majority of employers to offer continuation of coverage to covered employees and their dependents who, due to certain qualifying events, lose group health plan under the same terms and conditions as effective immediately prior to the event. Both regular group health plans and medical care reimbursement plans (also known as health FSAs) are subject to COBRA.

Benefits COBRA administration allows you to identify qualified beneficiaries from your HR master data records and print letters of notification, including personalized COBRA election and enrollment forms. You can also enroll qualified beneficiaries in COBRA plans and track payments for coverage.
