
Monitoring Systems in the Topology Display
Use
All remote SAP systems known to the CCMS monitoring architecture are listed on the Monitored Remote SAP Systems tab page of the
Topology Display along with their connection properties. This allows you to obtain a quick overview of which systems are monitored using the monitoring architecture.For more information about how to start the topology display, see

The system displays the following columns as standard in Monitored Remote SAP Systems.

Read Destination Data |
RFC destination of the monitored system that the central monitoring system uses to read data; use the CSMREG user for this purpose. The CSMREG user may only call certain function modules (see also: Monitoring Multiple SAP R/3 Systems: Define RFC Connections) |

Destination Analysis |
RFC Destination of the monitored system that the central monitoring system uses for analysis and auto reaction methods; use your own user name for this purpose (see also: Monitoring Multiple SAP R/3 Systems: Define RFC Connections). |

Comm. Status |
Communication status from the point of view of the local system; there are the following possible values:
If an RFC call fails (for example, in the case of the Test connection command, or the Logon to SAP system command), the system displays COMM.FAIL. After a successful RFC call, the system resets the communication status to ONLINE. |

Change Date, Change Time |
Date and time at which the communication status was last changed. |

Activities
In addition to the display functions, the following commands are available to you as pushbuttons int eh ALV Grid Control:

When this command is started, the logon screen of the selected system is displayed. After you logon, the system displays a message with the connection status of the selected system. Choose Edit ® Connection Test to All Systems if you want to test the connections to all systems. |

With this pushbutton, you start the Create Entry for Remote Monitoring process (see Monitoring Multiple SAP R/3 Systems: Define RFC Connections). |
|
|
You can directly log on to systems for which an RFC destination is specified for analysis. When you do so, the system displays the Monitoring: Properties and Methods screen of transaction RZ21 for the relevant system as the initial screen. |
|
|
With this command, you can delete the entry for the monitoring of a remote system. In doing this, you do not delete the associated RFC destination.

Change Communication Status |
If you no longer wish to monitor a remote system, choose OFFLINE. It remains in this status until you set it to ONLINE again. Do not set COMM.FAIL or SHUTDOWN manually. |

Change RFC Destination |
You can change the RFC destination (Read data and analysis) directly in the ALV Grid Control. Use an existing RFC destination to do this. |
