Creating the CSMREG User

Use

The subordinate system repository uses an RFC destination with the predefined user CSMREG to register a CCMS System Component Repository (SCR) with a central repository. CCMS agents also use CSMREG to monitor remote systems for the monitoring architecture.

The CSMREG user must be created in all monitored systems; it is not created automatically.

Procedure

Choose System Administration ® User Maintenance ® User, or call transaction SU01.

Create the CSMREG user. You also require the password entered for CSMREG if you register other repositories in the repository of the central system.

Create authorizations and a profile for CSMREG, and assign the profile to CSMREG,

Ensure that the user type Communication (as of SAP Basis 4.6C) or CPIC (until SAP Basis 4.6B) is activated.

The profile should contain the following authorizations:
