Creating a Where-Used List from the Proposal Pool

Use

You can access the Where-Used List from the proposal pool in order to find the instances in the system where a specific proposal is used as the translation. The Where-Used List function only works for specific object types: user interfaces, Screen Painter texts and headers, domains, fixed values for domains, data elements and messages.

Procedure

From the Proposal Pool: Editing dialog box, select the proposal that you want to find in the system and choose the Where-used list icon.

The system displays the dialog box Quick Where-Used List: Selection Screen. You can make the following settings:

Source language parameters

Here you can modify the source text and/or language, if required.

Target language parameters

This section is only active if the Bilingual Search checkbox at the top is checked. If it is checked, the search is bilingual, and you can:

modify the target text and language if required
set the search type by selecting one of the options:
- Find instances where source and target text match
- Find instances where target text is different.

Usage in Object Types

Here you can select the object types that you want to search for.

Frequency

Here you can set a maximum number of hits per object type, if required.

Now choose Enter.
The system displays a message that the where-used list will be displayed in a new session. It could take anything up to 45 minutes for this session to appear.

Result

The worklist for the relevant objects appears in a new session. You can now call up each object in sequence and edit them as required.
