Monitoring Contexts of the CCMS Agents in the Monitoring System

Definition

After you have completed the installation of a CCMS Agent, the data transferred by the CCMS agent is available in the central monitoring system. Depending on the CCMS agent, you can find the monitoring contexts in different places in the central monitoring system:

SAPCCM4X

As the SAP instance was already integrated into the central monitoring system before you installed the CCMS agent, the installation of the CCMS agent has no visible effects. From now on, the system first attempts to use the agent to access data from the SAP instance. If you have activated the Push Technique of the CCMS Agents, this method of data retrieval is better from a performance point-of-view.

SAPCM3X

The central monitoring system creates the monitoring segment SAP_CCMS_<hostname>_local. This segment has the following contexts:

<hostname>

3x_<hostname>_<SID>_<Inst.Nr>

Files_of_<hostname>_local

MoniInfra_<hostname>_local

You can see these new contexts, for example, directly in the monitor set SAP CCMS Technical Expert Monitors in the All Monitoring Contexts monitor.

SAPCCMSR

The central monitoring system creates the monitoring segment SAP_CCMS_<hostname>. This segment has the following contexts:

Files_of_<hostname>

MoniInfra_<hostname>
