Use

The periodic posting for vacant rental objects posts the imputed costs resulting from the conditions of the rental objects.

Use this function if you want to evaluate vacancy as imputed costs.

Prerequisites

The only rental objects taken into account are:

For the accrued expense to be posted to the rental object (no assignment to cost center), the rental object must have the following status pattern:

Integration

Rental object

If the imputed cost is to be posted to a cost center of the organization, you have to assign these costs to the rental object (Posting Data tab). The posting can also be made for all company codes, in other words the posting is made to a cost center belonging to another company code in the same controlling area.

If the rental object is not assigned to a cost center, you post the expense to the rental object itself.

If you have defined conditions in the rental object, the cash flow is updated for the conditions defined for this purpose in the case of vacancy.

With every subsequent periodic posting for the vacancy, the system generates a cash flow and posts the receivables according to the conditions defined; the posted records are identified with the indicator I as actual records.

Retroactive changes (such as the subsequent activation of a contract) could result in follow-up postings.
