Enterprise Modeling Procedures

Definition

To map your enterprise structure you carry out a series of tasks using SAP’s R/3 implementation methodology AcceleratedSAP (ASAP)– for projects with relatively limited scope – or Global ASAP for groups with global interests.

Use

Both Global ASAP and ASAP include work packages, activities, and tasks that describe what you need to do to implement R/3. They also offer information that makes it easier for you to carry out individual project steps, for example:

documents that may provide helpful input
the deliverables from each task or activity
templates, which you can use for documentation
the estimated duration of each task
a list of those responsible for carrying out the task

This is why you should also take the project-oriented enterprise modeling procedure directly from ASAP or Global ASAP. In Global ASAP and ASAP, there is a list and short description of the work packages in which you use the Structure Modeler to map your enterprise structure

You can then use the enterprise models you have created as inputs to other work packages.
