Define Background Job for Sending

In this IMG activity, you define a background job for sending process messages automatically.

The following options are available for background jobs:

• Cross-plant sending
  You use program RCOCB002 for this.

• Plant-specific sending
  You use program RCOCB004 for this. You specify the plant of the messages to be selected in a selection variant.

The system processes all messages that have status:

• Created

• To be resubmitted

• To be resubmitted with warning

If you have activated the time zone function in your client, note the following when you define background jobs:

• If possible, only schedule plant-specific jobs for sending process messages.

• The time zone in the master record of the user who defines the job must be identical to the time zone of the plant in which the messages are sent. This means that different users with a suitable Personal time zone must define jobs for different time zones.
