Budget Objects and Posting Objects 

What should you note if you want to use budget objects and posting objects?

Budget objects

  • Commitment items: All commitment items, which are to be budgeted for, must be marked as budget objects. The commitment items must have the financial transaction 30 and the item category 2 or 3.
  • Commitment item groups: You must decide if you want to use commitment item groups for the definition, or not.
  • Reconstruct assigned values: After definition you must reconstruct the assigned values
  • Reconstruct distributed values: If budget values already exist, you must reconstruct the distributed values before reconstructing the assigned values.

Posting objects

  • Commitment items: All commitment items, which are to be posted to, must be marked as posting objects. The commitment items must have the financial transaction 30 and the item category 2 or 3.
  • If you have only defined budget objects, but no posting objects, all account assignment items can be posted to.
  • Commitment item groups: You must decide if you want to use commitment item groups for the definition, or not.
  • Reconstruct assigned values: After definition you must reconstruct the assigned values
  • Reconstruct distributed values: If budget values already exist, you must reconstruct the distributed values before reconstructing the assigned values.
