Integration of PA Data Entry

Description

Data from certain infotypes can be linked to specifications for other applications in the SAP System, particularly for Controlling. These specifications are transferred to the other applications along with the data itself or with values derived from it, such as from payroll.

This applies to the following infotypes:

With every data record for these infotypes, you can enter cost assignment specifications for Controlling. These specifications are used by Payroll Accounting to assign the amounts derived from the infotypes to the corresponding Controlling objects. The Controlling objects are only debited when the payroll results are transferred. Please refer to the chapter Transfer to Financial Accounting/Cost Accounting in the IMG for payroll accounting.

These costs can be assigned to the following Controlling objects:

For the infotypes

you can enter specifications for activity allocation in Controlling. You can transfer these specifications to Controlling using report RKIBIHR1, and carry out activity allocation there.

These specifications from Payroll Accounting can also be used to assign the amounts derived from the infotypes to the sender cost center. As in the case of cost assignment specifications, the sender is not debited until the payroll results have been transferred.

The following can be receivers of an activity allocation:

In conjunction with infotype 2002 Attendances, you can enter External services:

The recorded times are processed in time evaluation; the generated wage types, when combined with the service number, give a resulting service number which is decisive for the remuneration of the service. The data is made available to the MM-SRV module.

Change system parameters in customizing

Please make the necessary Customizing settings in the chapter Integration of PA time data.

Changes to the interface

If the necessary Customizing settings have been made, you can enter data for other applications. On the single screens for the infotypes, you can activate popup windows for individual integration variants by choosing the Activity allocation, Cost assignment or External service pushbuttons, or the menu path Goto -> Acc./Log.specifications. The data is entered in these popup windows.

There are also list entry screens for:

In the standard system, you can access the list entry screens via the Weekly cal/add.data pushbutton in the Time Management menu.

Changes in procedure

The transfer of data for activity allocation in CO is no longer carried out by means of report RPTINT00 (as was the case up to and including Release 2.2). There is a new report RKIBIHR1. The procedure for transfer has also changed. Please read the documentation on this report.

The utility table used for transfer is no longer Cluster ZI (as was the case up to and including Release 2.2). The table used now is called COIF. You can display this table with the standard tools for tables.

Further notes

Feature PZINT (which was used until Release 2.2 to determine whether data on activity allocation was transferred) is no longer used. If you still want to restrict the entry of integration data using a feature, please make the settings described in the IMG.

You can use any feature you want (feature COBLT is provided as an example). However, the feature you choose must be based on the structure PME27. You can copy the decision trees of feature PZINT.

Data for other applications is no longer stored directly in each individual infotype, but in separate tables which are linked to the infotypes using the infotype key. Field REFEX of the infotype structure shows whether any other data exists for an infotype record. This procedure saves storage space since the infotypes can be shorter. It also allows you to insert further additional data fields without having to convert personal data.

You should use the view ASSOB_HR to evaluate additional data.
