Creating Master Data 

Purpose

Before you can work with Sequencing, you first have to create the necessary master data in the system. This process describes the minimum preconditions required for accessing the sequence schedule. You can find more information in the SAP documentation for each component.

Process flow

  1. Creating Work Centers

You create the work centers you want to add to the line hierarchy as line segments. The shift capacity of the work center also determines the operating times of the production line.
  1. Creating a Line Hierarchy

In the Line Design component, create a line hierarchy that represents the structure of your production line. In the line hierarchy, you also enter the number of takts and the rates or the takt times of the production line. These parameters control takt-based scheduling in Sequencing.
  1. Processing the Material Master Record

In the material master record, you make the necessary settings in the MRP and Work Scheduling screens.

You have created the master data required for Executing Sequencing
