Accessing the Planning Table by MRP List
Use
If you work with material requirements planning, you can use this function to search for materials with specific exceptional situations determined in the planning run which you can then process in the planning table.
Depending on the selection criteria you enter in the initial screen of the planning table, the system displays several production lines and materials.
Integration
The initial screen contains the same selection options as in the collective display of the MRP list.
Features
The initial screen is split into two different sections:
This includes the following:
The system proposes the period of examination if it has been defined in Customizing. You can also specify the time bucket, for example, shift, day, week or month or planning calendar.
If you select this field, before accessing the planning table, the system first displays a dialog box listing all the production lines on which the selected materials can be produced corresponding to your selections on the initial screen. Select the production lines that you want displayed in the planning table.
By selecting the field Capacity planning, the system displays the capacity data of the selected lines in the planning table. The capacity requirements and the production dates are calculated using either detailed planning or rate-based planning depending on your settings.
Here you determine whether, in the planning table, the planned orders and the run schedule quantities are sorted in the individual buckets on the basis of the order finish date or the production finish date.

If you access the planning table with production dates, you can still change to basic dates from within the planning table.
However this is not the case if you have selected Shift as period split (bucket). In this case you can only use production dates both for accessing and processing the planning table.
Here you determine how lead time scheduling is to be carried out in the planning table, for example, from the start of the period onwards (forward scheduling), or from the end of the period backwards (backward scheduling).

If you do not enter any data for the selection of MRP lists, the system selects all materials according to the selections you have made for the planning table. For example, all materials that are to be produced on the specified line in the given period of examination.
The following selection criteria for MRP lists are available:
If you want to select materials via MRP lists which lie before or after a certain date or if they lie within a certain period, enter the appropriate dates.
If you want to select materials via MRP lists which were processed before or after a certain date or within a certain period, enter the appropriate dates.
By selecting the appropriate indicator, you can control whether you only want to select processed MRP lists, MRP lists that have not yet been processed or MRP lists with exceptions that have not yet been processed.
You can assign exception messages which occur during a planning run to exception groups. You determine which exception message is assigned to which exception group in Customizing. If you select one or more exception groups, the system only displays the MRP list for the materials which, in the planning run, received exception messages belonging to the exception group/s selected.

Terminations in the planning run are assigned to exception group 8 by the system. This cannot be changed in Customizing.
Activities
The system selects the materials for which an MRP list exists according to your selection criteria and displays these materials in a material overview. The same sort and search functions are available here as in the
Collective display (Detailed material selection) when accessing the planning table. You can also branch from the collective display to the MRP list of the materials. From the material overview, you can then access the planning table where you can plan your materials.
