Previous Screen, Next Screen (Functions)
Previous screen, Next screen
are two navigation functions at task level the user can choose to navigate within a fixed screen sequence. If the user is not guided through a fixed screen sequence, the required screens can only be accessed explicitly by specifying the navigation options in the menu Goto or the corresponding function keys.Other functions for scrolling in fixed screen sequences are
First Screen, Last Screen (Function). In a screen sequence,
Continue (Function) usually navigates to the Next screen.Next screen, however, is not redundant, because on one screen you might only want to carry out validations with the
ENTER key or because there is a table on one screen of the sequence and the user is not to leave this table again with Continue. In these cases, the user can only get to the next screen by using Next screen.Previous screen has no equivalent in any other function.
