This section discusses the use and design of tables and lists. "Tables" here refers to lists of elements in which the user can scroll and edit data. Lists are primarily used for data analysis.

Up to now tables have been implemented using the step loop technique. For new developments, you should use the new table control feature, if possible. Lists are generated by the ABAP/4 list processor.
