Naming Pushbuttons

The texts of the pushbuttons in the standard toolbar consist of the function name and the term "pushbutton", for instance:

Symbols

Every symbol has a predefined position; if a function is inactive, the corresponding pushbutton is dimmed.

Using the Keyboard

To operate the system with the keyboard, all pushbutton functions are also assigned to function keys.

Standard Toolbar Help

If the user clicks on a symbol and keeps the mouse button pressed, the system displays a description of the function and the corresponding F -key in the status bar, for example, "Exit F15 ".

Clipboard Functions, Selection Mode

The standard toolbar contains the local clipboard functions Cut, Copy, and Paste. The central functions Cut, Copy and Paste are located in the Application Toolbar (Control Element).

The Selection mode pushbutton is only available under Windows and Apple.

Layout Menu

The icon for the layout menu is the last entry in the menu bar, on the right. The functions of this menu allow the user to modify the appearance of the R/3 window.

Pushbuttons No Longer Available

The F4= Possible Entries (Function) button is no longer in the standard toolbar. The functionality of the Possible entries pushbutton has made the inclusion of this button superfluous.
