BAPIs for
Selecting and Processing Outbound Delivery Outputs
Use
As of this release, you can use Business
Application Programming Interfaces (BAPIs) to transfer data to and from
external systems via an interface. The new BAPIs that are available allow you
to use a synchronous connection to communicate with an SAP System.
You can process all output-processing functions
for deliveries by using BAPIs. This means that you can use BAPIs (for
selecting and processing outbound-delivery outputs) to select and process
outputs for outbound deliveries from an external system. You must use BAPIs
that are specifically for selecting and processing outbound-delivery
outputs.
The following are examples of scenarios that
these BAPIs support:
- Processing outputs decentrally
- A decentralized Warehouse Management system
prints outputs on an SAP System (Enterprise Resource Planning -
ERP)
- A decentralized non-SAP system prints outputs
on an SAP System.
- SAP applications print outputs
- Quality management creates
certificates.
- Printing is triggered by the Radio Frequency
(RF) transactions
- For example, if picking is done using an RF
terminal, the delivery note can be printed from this terminal.
The following BAPIs are available for
processing delivery outputs:
- BAPI_LIKP_GET_LIST_MSG
You can use this method to select outbound delivery outputs (header and item
outputs for several outbound deliveries). The system returns a key for the
selected outputs and a log.
- BAPI_LIKP_PROCESS_MSG
You can use this BAPI to process outbound delivery outputs. The system returns
a key and a log for the outputs that were processed
- BAPI_LIKP_PROCESS_MSG_DIRECT
You can use this method to select and process outbound delivery outputs in one
step.
