• Type of education: You must specify to the SAP R/3 System to which education level payment of the special education assistance is adjusted. You do this using the implementation guide, in the section Payroll ® Master data ® Define relevant education types.
• Presentation of education certificates for current and previous school year: In order to receive special education assistance, the employee must present the previous school year termination certificate for the child. From this moment on, the employee is entitled to receive special education assistance for the child for the current school year. However, the employee must present the education certificate for the current school year. For this purpose, the law dictates a specific period. If, on the completion of this period, the employee has not presented the education certificate for the current school year, the employer is entitled to deduct allowance already paid from the salary/wage of the employee. The information regarding whether the employee presented each one of these certificates is entered in the system using the Family data infotype: Education assistance (0393).
