(0021).- Employee entitlement to receive child allowance
: If both parents work, generally the spouse with the lesser income is the one who receives the child family allowance. If the parents are divorced, the family allowance is paid to the person who has custody and care of the child.
In the infotype Family/Reference person (infotype view) you can specify whether the employee receives the child family allowance.

: This data is important for certain legal report outputs.
- Childbirth report to employer and presentation of birth certificate
: The employee is entitled to receive the child allowance from the moment in which they inform the employer of the birth . However, the employee has a maximum period in which to present the birth certificate to the employer. If, at the end of this period, the employee has not presented this certificate, the employer can interrupt payment of this allowance. The data regarding the childbirth report and presentation of the birth certificate are entered in the system in the infotype Family/Reference person (0021).
