Define Signature Strategies

In this IMG activity, you define strategies. You make the following settings:

• You combine individual signatures of different user groups into a signature process.

• You specify which signature method is used when the signature process is carried out.

Afterwards, you can determine which signature strategy is used in the PI sheet to sign a process step or an invalid input value. You can specify this in:

• The control recipe destination for all PI sheets of this destination

• The process instruction if you do not want to use the strategy defined in the control recipe destination

You do not need signature strategies in the following cases:

• If you use signatures without a password or signatures with a simple password/SAP System password in your control recipe destinations (see Types of signature)

• If you use one individual signature without a signature strategy to sign process steps or values in your control recipe destinations

Signature strategies are valid in all areas that use the digital signature. Before changing signature strategies or using them for your requirements, make sure that there is no clash of interests with other areas.
