In this step you assign class rules corresponding flight classes depending on flight durations.
The selection of flight cabin rule makes it possible to either set an exact flight class or allow alternative classes if the flight class set as the first choice in the class rule should not be available. If, for example, Economy/Business/First is specified in the flight cabin rule, Business Class is only allowed if no Economy Class flight is available; booking of First Class flights is only allowed if no Business Class flight is available either.
Note:
The flight classes are arranged in a hierarchy so that the higher classes
include the subordinate classes, in other words, the flight classes are not
disjunct. If, for example, the flight cabin rule is set for First
class, the employee can of course also choose
Business or Economy class.
All flights that last longer than four hours are to be assigned to flight class "B" (Business). If no Business Class flight is available, a First Class flight should be allowed. The following settings must be made:
