In Release 3.0E you can cost each production_version of a material. You create this cost estimate in the run schedule header or production cost collector . This cost estimate is used to calculate the activity quantities for the confirmation.
The results of this cost estimate can be compared with the actual costs to calculate variances. In the standard system, target cost version 1 is used for this purpose. This target cost version is only used to calculate variances. It includes neither the WIP nor the scrap and cannot be settled.
The results of this cost estimate can also be used for actual cost distribution if you collect costs on a cost object hierarchy.
The work in process and the scrap are valuated as before with the results of the standard cost estimate for the material manufactured. The work in process and the scrap are only included in target cost version 0.
In the repetitive manufacturing profile, you specify whether you can cost separately for each production version. In the repetitive manufacturing profil, you can specify the following in the control parameters:
The costing variant for this cost estimate is stored as a default value for the order type of the production cost collector.
You may have to copy target cost version 0001 into your controlling area.
